Dear Pearl friends,
I am very happy I won First Prize at the 2009 Australian Flute Festival Flute Competition. It's really amazing ! I enjoyed to play in the competition very much. Actually I came to Australia for a concert tour with my duo partner - german guitar player Perry Schack and played at AFF for fun but of course I was working very hard for few months to be well prepaired. I can't believe -I got new Maetsta Flute as a prize so now I have two Pearl Flutes. I really like my old one because of it's big and warm sound. I started to play it in 2006 and since then many great things has happened. Last year I played my Carnegie Hall Debut on it and won three orchestral auditions. Just before the competition I got new job as principal flutist of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra and will start in November.
It's a good level orchestra working with many great artists such as Yong Lu , Charles Dutoit , Vladimir Ashkenazy , Martha Argerich , Gary Graffman, Itzhak Perlman , Anne Sophie Mutter , Mischa Maisky , Emmanuel Ax, Sarah Chang , Lang Lang , Krzysztof Penderecki etc... So I hope I will have great time there . Now I 'm enjoying the rest of my tour to have nice concerts in Singapore , Kuala Lumpur , Perth , Melbourne , Sydney, Hobart , Brisbane , Canberra , Wellington and Tokyo. Australian Flute Festival was great- good concerts and masterclass so I hope to see You all there in two years. All the best for all of you . Keep in touch, Krzysztof
