Born in Meiningen. Studied at the Academy of Music "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" under Prof. Karl-Heinz Passin. In 1989 she graduated. Also in 1989 she was awarded with a scholarship of the "Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart" and took part in the master-course of Prof. Jean-Claude Gérard. From 1987-89 she had got the chance, to play as a "Substitute" in the "Gewandhausorchester Leipzig". Since the season 1989/90 she has been solo flutist of the "Robert Schumann-Philharmonic-Orchestra-Chemnitz", one of the very recognized A-level orchestras in Germany. Beside symphony concerts, she takes the solo-flute-parts in the pit of the Chemnitz Opera in the widely ranged repertoire from operas of Mozart, Puccini, Strauss, Wagner a.o. to operetta and musical. As chamber musician she is member of the "Chemnitz Wind Quintett" and the "Saxonian Woodwind Academy". As soloist she had played concertos for flute of Mozart, Mercadante, Ibert, Jolivet. In 2006 she will play the concerto for flute of Carl Nielsen.
